Focus and Scope
Georeview is an open access, peer-reviewed, online journal that encompasses a large spectrum of geosciences (Human Geography, Hydrology, Geomorphology, Climatology, Biogeography, Geology, Environmental Science etc.). Our mission is to provide a platform for the dissemination of high-quality research and to foster collaboration among scholars, researchers, and professionals within the diverse fields of geoscience. We encourage submissions that present innovative methodologies, theoretical advancements, and practical applications that contribute to a deeper understanding of the Earth’s systems and processes.
Our journal strives to be a valuable resource for the geosciences community by publishing original research articles, review papers, and case studies that address contemporary issues and emerging trends in the field. We aim to promote interdisciplinary approaches and welcome contributions that bridge the gap between different sub-disciplines within geoscience. By offering open access to our content, we ensure that our publications are accessible to a global audience, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and ideas.
Georeview is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity and rigor. Our peer-review process is designed to ensure the quality and credibility of the research we publish. We are committed to supporting the professional development of our authors and reviewers by providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. We also actively seek to engage with the broader geosciences community through collaborations, special issues, and conferences that highlight key topics and advancements in the field.
Peer Review Process
After the submission of a paper, the editors of Georeview check if the paper adheres to the requirements described in the journal’s guidelines and decide if the submitted work will be sent to peer review or rejected. If the paper is sent to peer review (single blind peer review), at least 2 reviewers will be involved in the analysis of the manuscript and will complete a review document with specific remarks and answers for standard questions (Does the introduction provide sufficient background and include all relevant references? Is the research design appropriate? Are the methods adequately described? Are the results clearly presented? Are the conclusions supported by the results?). The reviewers can propose 1 of 4 recommendations: Accept in present form / Accept after minor revision / Reconsider after major revision / Reject. Based on the recommendations from reviewers, the editors will send a response to the authors.
