The study represents a detailed analysis of the propagation of landslides on a key sector in the District of Călăraşi - an area strongly affected by slope processes. The analysis was based on topographic maps at scale 1: 25000 (year 1970) orthophotos (year 2007) with a resolution of 40 cm on the field research. With the use of GIS was evaluated the influence of lithology, geomorphological conditions and the use of terrain on the temporal dynamics and spatial distribution of landslides. Using these techniques were determined the number of landslides (104) and their main characteristics (size, type, impact on communities etc.).
